Olivia's Story

Meet Olivia the reason behind it all. Thriving at THREE years old.

We started this journey in hopes of helping families in need.

Our story began with a prenatal diagnosis. March 2021 I gave birth to a baby girl. We were told while I was pregnant that my genetic testing came back with a high chance of Trisomy 18. I instantly looked it up and I remember being in shock and just crying. I stumbled across a facebook group that had kids with trisomy 18. They were thriving. Thats where I found My hope. After having our little girl we spent one month in the NICU and were then transferred four hours from home. This is where her story really begins. 

Olivia, a tiny fighter from the moment she entered this world, had already proven her incredible strength and resilience at just five weeks old. Born with a congenital heart condition, her journey began with an uphill battle. The odds were stacked against her, but Olivia was determined to defy them.

At the tender age of five weeks, Olivia underwent her first open-heart surgery. The operating room buzzed with focused determination as a team of skilled surgeons worked tirelessly to repair her fragile heart. Her parents, with hearts heavy with worry and hope, held onto the belief that their little warrior could conquer anything.

The surgery was a success, and Olivia emerged with a mended heart, proving once again that she was a force to be reckoned with. Her smile, though still in its infancy, radiated a remarkable warmth and an indomitable spirit.

As the months passed, Olivia continued to thrive, but another challenge lay ahead. At seven months old, she faced her second open-heart surgery. The prospect of undergoing such a procedure again was undoubtedly daunting for her parents, but they drew strength from Olivia's unwavering courage.

The day of the second surgery arrived, and the hospital corridors echoed with the collective hopes and prayers of those who had come to know and love Olivia's story. Once more, the skilled medical team worked their magic, repairing her heart with precision and care.

Olivia emerged from the second surgery with the same fighting spirit that had defined her from the beginning. Her parents, who had witnessed her incredible journey, could hardly contain their tears of relief and joy. It was a testament to the human spirit's resilience and the power of love and medical expertise.

As Olivia grew, so did her heart—both physically and metaphorically. She became a beacon of hope for other families facing similar challenges.
